What separates Crystal Spire from existing games?
Our intention is to create a dynamic world that values revisiting rather than one with zones that are meant to be leveled through and forgotten. One of the core design concepts is player-driven history, where an artifact may be passed down from person to person, changing hands after great battles or even being lost to eventually be found again by someone new. We want to capture the feeling where, when standing in the forest clearing, you recall the wars fought there years before, the victories and defeats, the warriors you fought beside, and just how far you’ve come since then.
Is this game PvE, PvP?
Crystal Spire has a healthy blend of challenging PvE mixed with hardcore PvP. The game presents various levels of PvE challenges in many different forms, ranging from dungeons, large open-world bosses, duels, and more. Each PvE encounter is designed to be thoughtful, and many dungeons may require multiple attempts. Upon clearing a dungeon for the first time, players gain access to “extreme” variants presenting even more deadly challenges, meaning dungeons are always worth revisiting.
On the other hand, players may engage in PvP within the open world as well. There are various instanced “gladiator” game modes with global leaderboards offering monthly prizes for those who display supreme combat prowess.
Will there be classes to pick from?
There is no rigid class systems. You are encouraged to create your own unique moveset. However this does not mean you will be able to master everything at once. You will need to carefully select and refine your arsenal of skills.
What is the punishment for death?
Death is not rigid, and how The Spire chooses to judge your soul will not be the same across all circumstances. Those who seek to disrupt the balance will suffer greater repercussions than those who are victims of circumstance. The Spire forgives those who are victims or circumstance and punishes those who charge into danger unprepared
